In many traditions, Poseidon is the creator of the first horse, which he is said to have designed as a reflection of the beauty of rolling waves and surf. The sea was his primary domain, and though he received worship from numerous inland cities as well, the most fervent prayers came from sailors and fishermen venturing out onto the unpredictable waters of the Mediterranean.  Poseidon also had his own magnificent palace on the ocean floor, made of coral and gemstones. 

Made from 100% recycled sterling silver the coin is a replica made from an original Ancient Drachma. Made to a size R or 8 5/8 in US.
